A Sawday's Special Place to Stay

Local Commitment

As far as possible, we use and celebrate products from the West Country and the Somerset area in particular, and from enterprising British companies

The Breakfast Room

The Breakfast Room is one of the two formal reception rooms to the front of the house. It is an elegant room with high ceilings and considerable character, where guests share a relaxed morning meal around the spacious central table. There is more information on our Breakfast page. Wherever possible, we are very happy to accommodate any particular dietary requirements so please let us know when you book.

The Drawing Room

Sun floods into the drawing room

The second of the two reception rooms, the Drawing Room, is there for guests to enjoy and make themselves at home. This bright and restful room has a flat-screen television with Freeview. A substantial inglenook fireplace is a central feature and its wood-burning stove is lit for guests in chillier weather.

The Gardens

The mature garden is full of variety and delight – a little pond tucked in a corner, a gravelled spot to sit in the sun and a hidden arbour. Clematis, wisteria and roses scramble over walls and pergola, while box-lined flower beds set a note of formality. The gardens extend to the side of the house where there is a wide gravelled area for parking.

In a quiet part of the garden, behind the barn, a small private swimming pool offers a perfect secluded spot to relax, cool off or watch the sun go down at the end of day. There is also a hot tub in the adjacent pool room. Guests may use these facilities by arrangement.
